3M™ 4905 VHB™ (Very High Bond) Tape delivers a permanent structural bond using a 20 mil clear acrylic foam core with acrylic adhesive on both sides. The clear construction keeps the bond line virtually invisible after application, making it a preferred choice where aesthetics and bond integrity must coexist.
This tape is engineered for glass, acrylic, polycarbonate, and other smooth, high-surface-energy substrates. It is widely used in glazing, retail signage, electronics assembly, architectural panel attachment, and interior fixture mounting — anywhere mechanical fasteners would damage surfaces or interrupt clean sight lines.
The 4905 formulation resists moisture, solvents, and UV exposure, maintaining adhesion from -40°F to 200°F. It replaces rivets, screws, spot welds, and liquid adhesives in many structural scenarios, reducing assembly time and eliminating surface damage. Sold individually per roll and ships via parcel carrier.
